The 70's Came Back and Haven't Left

Updated: Jan 23, 2023

Bell Bottoms, menswear, and mini skirts are aging like fine wine. Your mom is probably nostalgic seeing you rock her old style, wishing she'd kept her favorite pieces.

I've had my feelings hurt many times hearing a story about a "one-of-a-kind piece" my mom gave away. Word to the wise: don't give away a beloved piece when you think it's out of style...it will trend again and you'll pay more for a replica. Below are a few of my favorite 70's pieces proving to be timeless silhouettes.

Bell Bottoms

Perfect for every figure; dress it up or dress it down.

Patches, Bedazzles, and Embroidery are striking accents to a wide-leg. This patterned pair gives a western flair to the All American Girl.

Jumpsuits

Loved throughout all seasons for their functionality; layer for warmth.

Running Late? Jumpsuits are an instant outfit. I love this denim number.

Platforms

Get a leg up! Heighten your confidence with some major heel and support.

Heels or Boots, Platforms Deliver.

Menswear

Women pull off menswear effortlessly and with sophistication.

Add a blazer with your favorite jeans, or rock a pant suit.

Mini Skirts and Mini Dresses

They're flirty and flattering throughout the seasons.

Wear shorts underneath for extra confidence. The weather was great this day but when it's not I'll add pantyhose or tights.

This is actually my mom's dress from high school.

Hats

Funky or floppy, they're a finishing touch.

Vests

Going dressy or casual? Accessorize your vest accordingly.

Suede makes for a long-lasting garment if taken care of properly. You can pair a vest with almost anything so find one you love.

Thanks for reading; I hope you enjoyed my take on classic silhouettes from the seventies.
